  22.   I'm not using a USR, but as I recall it is just AT&F1 to set it up to
  23. default, high speed mode.

  25.   Prefs maxes out at 31250 (MIDI rate), but each serial program you use (such
  26. as PPP or a comm program) sets up its own speed.  Prefs speed shouldn't affect
  27. net access at all.
